The presentation is about a 2D FEM-based Through-Flow Code used to compute the flow field on the S2m stream surface and the performance maps of a turbine. The program features are adressed as well as the currently implemented loss models. It is compared to other numerical tools in use, e.g. 3D CFD, 2D computations on the S1 surface and 1D design tools. Finally, an outlook about the application possibilities in a design process chain and in the estimation of MRO-related processes is given
