Zinc and tetrathiomolybdate, effective, nontoxic drugs, have now been added to the treatment of most phases of Wilson's disease. Zinc is used for maintenance as well as treating presymptomatic, pregnant, and pediatric patients. Tetrathiomolybdate is the choice for patients presenting with neurologic diseases. J. Trace Elem.
