The Vienna Convention on Road Traffic postulates that the driver has to be able to control his vehicle at all time while driving. Following this rule, common ADAS are developed to provide information about vehicle status, driven environment and road traffic. Drivers have to decide the appropriate reactions this information. Using behaviourally based processes in ADAS development enables accurate driver performance without drivers direct awareness about it.
