The paper presents the numerical optimisation activity carried out at DLR-IAS for the design of wing-body aircrafts in high-lift configuration. The purpose of the study is to assess the high-fidelity methods and tools needed to optimise the flap and slat settings of 3D configurations in a limited turn-around time. The selected key technologies are successfully applied for the optimisations of 2 different high-lift configurations
