This report provides an introduction on aircraft noise prediction activities in the German Aerospace Center (DLR). The noise prediction software PANAM (Parametric Aircraft Noise Analysis Module) is presented as a tool for conceptual low-noise aircraft design. The code's noise prediction capabilities are demonstrated. A detailed noise evaluation for different aircraft designs along specifed flight trajectories is presented
