The project Path Allocation Re-engineering of Timetable Networks for European Railways (PARTNER) aims to demonstrate a new way of train path allocation and assembly along international corridors towards a better harmonised and coordinated railway infrastructure capacity management. An Internet based software Demonstrator was developed, that provides a common platform for international path allocation for European infrastructure managers (IM). This Demonstrator will be the basis for a software tool that flexibly supports the cross-border train scheduling process by using new applications to reduce the estimated process time by up to two to five days
