The decay of 159Gd

Precision energy measurements on four gamma rays in the 159Gd --> 159Tb decay were performed with a 2 m curved-crystal spectrometer. Energies of the other gamma rays and all gamma intensities were determined with a Ge(Li) spectrometer. A level scheme is proposed for 159Tb which includes a level at 854 keV. The status of the 617 keV doublet has been clarified.
