In this report the basic principles of the Spotlight SAR and the main differences of this special mode to the conventional strip map mode were explained. Especially the problem of the timevariant imaging geometry was presented and a possibility to model it has been derived. Based on this the evaluations of the timing and the behaviour of the ambiguities of SAR systems working in the Spotlight mode could be performed
