Good feedback systems tolerate uncertain parameters. Stability and performance of feedback systems can be made robust with respect to uncertain plant parameters. This survey focusses on approaches that exploit specific structural properties of plant models and feedback systems. The recent literature on robust stability analysis is reviewed as well as several tools and algorithms for analysis and design of robust control systems
