The High Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC) has been developed originally for the exploration of Mars in the context of the international space mission Mars96. Over the last years, an airborne version of this camera, the HRSC-A, was successfully applied in Earth observation during several aircraft campaigns. The results and products which have been derived from these experiments demonstrate its unique potential for a variety of applications, based on the high technological standard of the camera.
