One major objective of EUROPIV was to provide a selection of PIV records obtained in different flow situatins, representative of the problems to tackle with this method (different image quality, particle concentration, out of plane velocity component, turbulence intensity, vortex intensity ...), and compare the results of the analysis of these records by the different methods developed by the different teams. Apart from the various methods usable for analysis, necessary treatments have to be performed on the raw data to build useable information.
