Particle laden supersonic flows impinging on obstacles are important for both, erosion and deposition processes. In order to obtain an understanding of important mechanisms of such processes the present study aims to investigate the dynamics of individual particles in the shock layer formed by a supersonic two-phase jet impinging normally onto a plate. For this purpose the method of high-speed multiexposure visualization of flow fields was applied. The free jet studied was characterized by Mach numbers of 2.6-2.8 and stagnation temperatures of 300-500 K.
