New advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) require that they are accepted by the drivers. They can also increase safety by preventing errors of the driver. In order to ensure these effects of ADAS, experimental tests are required. While prototypes may be easily tested in a driving simulation, the validity of the results is questionable. On the other hand, tests in real traffic are time-consuming and may be dangerous for the drivers. The paper describes an approach to combine the advantages of both methods. This approach is demonstrated for learning processes
