In this paper, the tomographic inversion of Synthetic Aperture Radar polarimetric data and, in particular, the problem of reconstructing forest parameters is addressed. The forest is described by two layers, the first one accounting for the forest canopy and the second one for the ground, and the problem of determining its parameters is cast as an optimization one. Preliminary results on simulated data are shown
