This research examines police in-service training in the use of physical force. An important perspective has been whether training provides police officers with the capacity to solve their tasks within the framework of Norwegian rules and regulations. The approach to the problem reads: "Is the training in the use of physical force good enough to allow police officers achieve usable skills that do not interfere with the rules and regulation of Norwegian law? And what may explain the differences in skill level? " The findings show that Norwegian police officers don`t have an equal level of skills. There are greater differences between young and old officers, than the differences found between the two districts in my research project. Officers...
