This study examined the relationship between the experiences of initiative in physical activity, satisfaction of the basic needs of autonomy, competence and relatedness derived from self- determination theory, adult supervision and level of physical activity in leisure physical activity.Method: The study is based on the Norwegian data from the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children. A WHO Cross National Survey (HBSC) among 10th graders.
