The manuscript complements and enlarges upon the analysis given in the paper “Dialect variation in East Norwegian tone”, published in Tones and Tunes. Typological and Comparative Studies in Word and Sentence Prosody I, edited by Tomas Riad and Carlos Gussenhoven (Berlin: Mouton de Gruyter 2007). This article is also available in Bora. For reasons of space, the full OT-analysis of the tonal grammar in the three dialects could not be published in the book. It is instead presented below, and should be read as a supplement to the published article.
