Introduction E-learning is a priority area at The Medical Faculty at The University of Oslo (UiO). The aim of this project was to create an e-learning resource for medical students focusing on basic eye examination and common clinical findings. The new resource aims to supplement the existing e- learning resources in ophtalmology at UiO, which are more oriented towards pathological findings and treatment of disease. Methods and results JournalWiki, based on the MediWiki platform, is an already established open access medical e- learning website at UiO and was chosen as the platform for the new resource.
