Heat capacities of TiB2 and TaB2.11 have been measured by adiabatic cryogenic calorimetry and found to have an essentially normal sigmate temperature dependence without thermal anomalies. Values at 298.15 K of the heat capacity at constant pressure Cp, the standard entropy So, the function {Ho(T) - Ho(0)}/T, and the function -{Go(T) - Ho(0)}/T are 10.58, 6.805, 4.469, and 2.336 calth K-1 mol-1 for TiB2, and 11.88, 10.57, 6.034, and 4.539 calth K-1 mol-1 for TaB2.11, respectively.Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/22762/1/0000317.pd
