A shell model study in terms of a severely truncated pseudo-SU3 basis has been made of typical rotational-limit nuclei in the proton-rich Xe---Nd region. The competition between prolate and oblate shapes and E2 properties have been studied.Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/22571/1/0000116.pd
