The study is a GIS-based analysis of gentrification in Oslo's Inner East. While gentrification processes were evident before this time, the process has become even more prevalent during this time period, particularly since the late 1990s. Taking education and income as variables, attributes of the age group 30-39 are mapped at numerous time intervals at census tract level. Total changes over the whole study period for each tract in relation to income are also analysed. The analysis concludes with a look at polarisation, both on a structural level and geographic polarisation
