Administrators of large, multi-user file systems will often be required to add new permission entries to regulate access control. It is often the case that administering New Technology File System (NTFS) permissions is both exhaustive and cumbersome. In this paper, the allocation of NTFS permissions using automated planning is presented. The work undertaken in this paper is part of the development of a new tool that provides Autonomic analysis of New Technology file System (ANTS)
