To help understand the different ways in which families have been affected by, and responded to, the downturn and the changing economic environment, this survey was conducted between May and June 2009. Some 1650 families with at least one child aged under 18 years were asked about their household\u27s current financial situation, how it compared with six months ago and how they expect it to change over the next six months. It should be noted that the gross median income of households in the sample was $80,000-$100,000.
