Building blocks: best practice programs that improve the wellbeing of children and young people.

The aim of this report is to showcase a selection of evidence-based programs from Western Australia and across Australia that demonstrate best or promising practice in strengthening the wellbeing of children and young people. Building Blocks is one of three reports which comprise the wellbeing monitoring framework project, an initiative of the Commissioner for Children and Young People WA. The other reports of the framework are:•    The State of Western Australia’s Children and Young People – provides data on 33 measures of children and young people’s wellbeing, categorised under eight domains•    The Profile of Children and Young People in Western Australia – provides socio-demographic data from a variety of sources. Building Blocks is based on research commissioned by the Commissioner for Children and Young People WA and researched by the Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS)
