This audit assesses the effectiveness of the AFP’s administration of the Fighting Terrorism at its Source initiative and related measures. On 9 September 2004, ten days after the announcement that Australia would hold a Federal Election on 9 October 2004, a car bomb exploded outside the Australian embassy in Jakarta, killing nine people and wounding over 150 others.
