This Strategy is part of a suite of measures that are designed to protect all Australians from racism and complement the positive activities that occur through cultural diversity and reconciliation programs. It also complements the domestic protections that are afforded under Commonwealth, state and territory legislation and that are articulated in our commitments under the Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
