This set of resources aims to support practitioners in the child, family and community sectors working with teenagers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, in particular refugees and newly arrived migrants. Summary In addition to navigating the typical developmental tasks of adolescence, young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds may also experience unique challenges such as a lack of social supports, a sense of displacement, recovery from torture and trauma, discrimination and migration stress.
