Mortality reductions from screening for breast cancer are restricted if women do not attend regularly[1]. Pain during mammography has been shown to inhibit regular participation in breast screening[2]. Considering the lack of effective interventions to reduce pain in mammography[3], a better understanding of the screening experience is needed.
