The movement towards 'open science', or 'open research', has introduced increased openness in many aspects of the research lifecycle. A renewed interest in ensuring transparency and accessibility in the creation, dissemination and sharing of research knowledge is core to open science. This session will therefore provide an introduction to open science and, in particular, explore two important but related tenets of open science: Open Access and Open Data.
