Aims: The branch itself see, that creative destruction led to a significant jump in productivity of Finnish construction sector but the Finnish official statistic illustrates inverse development. The aim of this study was to find out what's what. The first task was to find out if the vision of the branch was right. The second task was to acquaint with the productivity statistic. Methods: Workshops and interviews, literary research related with building performance. Results: Non-monetary indicators of real productivity changes show that the productivity of various types of work done in the construction sector has developed favourably.
