The coffee production in Ethiopia is the critical to Ethiopian economy with about quarter of total population depending directly or indirectly on their live hood. But, coffee production in Ethiopia is mainly concentrated in the south, southwest and east of the country. The annual production ranges from 200,000 to 250,000 metric tons depending on weather and soil condition. Coffee is produced by four methods in Ethiopia: forest coffee, semi-forest coffee, garden coffee and plantation coffee which they account 10%, 35%, 50% and 5%, respectively.
