This paper is based on a study that tried to establish the comparison of established two educational programs for student-teachers in Tanzania. The findings revealed that for the normally trained teachers, their academic programs and content were better designed compared to licensed trained teachers and thus they were more effective in teaching than the licensed trained teachers. It was recommended first and foremost, that The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) should provide and support general and specific in-service training programs, especially for the crash trained teachers, so that they become more knowledgeable and skilled in the teaching and learning processes.
