Comparison of Surveying Methods Applied in Tunnels Construction, Using the Conventional Method and Technology Laser Scanner 3D (TLS)

A través del tiempo la ciencia y tecnología trabajan conjuntamente para crear o mejorar nuevas máquinas y herramientas, abarcándose desde una necesidad para el hombre mejorando su rendimiento, precisión y eficiencia. Todas las ciencias conocidas han evolucionado la forma de llevar su trabajo en cada uno de sus campos, la topografía no se queda atrás, se han innovado nuevos instrumentos de medición y toma de datos, generando una mejor precisión, optimización del trabajo y nuevas metodologías aplicadas a cada una de las actividades ingenieriles; adicionalmente estos avances le generan mucha más conformidad y confianza al ingeniero. La comparación de los métodos topográficos aplicados en la construcción de túneles muestra un avance para la actualidad ya que utilizando la nueva tecnología del Escáner Láser Terrestre 3D (ELT) 3D, se sabe que la presencia de túneles en una sociedad es de suma importancia, pues son esenciales para el transporte de larga distancia, desarrollo e innovación de las economías regionales. Por otro lado, el ELT es un dispositivo que permite diversas aplicaciones en el sector de la construcción, este instrumento trabaja con tecnología de punta, ofreciendo una infinidad de aplicaciones que son muy significativas. Además, el sistema láser que maneja el escáner es calificado como una solución que llega a reemplazar la fotogrametría, es decir, permite generar con detalle modelos digitales del terreno MDT. El objeto de este trabajo es de comparar la información obtenida por el ELT con el empleo de topografía convencional en zonas de difícil condición de trabajo y acceso dentro de una obra subterránea. Para determinar la eficiencia del ELT y los rendimientos topográficos en cuanto a: precisión, toma de datos, procesos y rentabilidad, el área de estudio se ubica en el túnel de acceso a la Hidroeléctrica en Prado-Tolima.Over time the science and technology work together to create or improve new machines and tools, ranging from a need for men to improve its performance, precision and efficiency. Comparison of topographic methods applied in the construction of tunnels shows a step forward for now since using the new Terrestrial Laser Scanner 3D (TLS 3D) technology, we know that the presence of tunnels in a society is of utmost importance, as they are essential for the transport of long distance, development and innovation of regional economies. On the other hand, the TLS is a device that allows several applications in the construction industry, this instrument works with cutting edge technology, offering an infinite number of applications that are very significant. In addition, the laser system that handles the scanner is qualified like a solution that goes so far as to replace the photogrammetry, that is to say, this one allows to generate in detail digital models of the area MDT. The object of this work is of comparing the information obtained by the TLS with the employment of conventional topography in areas of difficult condition of work and access inside an underground work.
