Progress Towards Carbon Neutrality Today

Since the start of the 21st century, many countries have begun to set goals for carbon neutrality to combat climate change. The progress that these countries have made to become carbon-neutral has been tracked through recorded emissions. Carbon output has begun to take a serious effect on our planet\u27s health, from more hurricanes each year to sweltering heat waves, global warming is a threat that needs to be combated quickly. By tracking the amount of carbon produced by each country, we can see which nations are taking this global threat seriously. Many nations are using new technologies or ways of thinking to help cut down on their carbon impart and become carbon neutral. Other countries, however, are not taking this threat seriously, and the numbers show. Our IMPACT team went through the reasons countries are becoming carbon neutral and formulated ways that other countries can follow suit. If we come together, this challenge can be overcome by a global collective effort to cut down on carbon emissions
