En esta investigación se calcularon los parámetros que caracterizan a la fuente sísmica del terremoto de Nepal 2015 (7.9 Mw) utilizando un modelo numérico de inversión de formas de ondas telesísmicas. Los datos sísmicos se obtuvieron de 57 estaciones sísmicas de la red mundial IRIS para las distancias epicentrales entre los 30° y 90°. Para el cálculo del proceso de inversión se utilizaron 80 señales sísmicas entre ondas P y SH. Los resultados muestran un proceso de ruptura múltiple o complejo con una propagación unidireccional y directividad hacia el Sur-Este, la duración del proceso de ruptura fue alrededor de 90 s.
