PHYTORREMEDIATION OF SOILS CONTAMINATED LAND BY PETROLEUM HYDROCARBONS

La fitorremediación es una tecnología que usa plantas para recuperar suelos contaminados con compuestos orgánicos o inorgánicos. Con el objetivo de conocer la capacidad de la planta de girasol Helianthus annuus L, para crecer, absorber y acumular metales pesados como el plomo en sus tejidos, se instaló un experimento en el Laboratorio de Fertilidad de la Universidad Agraria La Molina, que duró 60 días. Se utilizó el diseño estadístico completamente al azar, con tres repeticiones. Las muestras de suelos fueron tomadas de los alrededores de la refinería Maple Gas – Pucallpa con acondicionadores: humus de lombriz, aserrín de bolaina blanca y perlita blanca; y como planta fitoextractora, el girasol Helianthus annuus L. Los resultados y la prueba de significación estadística arrojaron que el tratamiento T4 (suelo contaminado más humus y aserrín de bolaina) y el tratamiento T6 (suelo contaminado más humus y perlita) obtuvieron un mejor crecimiento en altura y peso seco de los tejidos de la planta (raíz, tallo y hojas). Además extrajeron y acumularon mayor cantidad de metales pesados de los hidrocarburos de petróleo, como es el Pb, en comparación con los demás tratamientos. Esto confirma que la planta de girasol es un buen fitoextractor por haber acumulado plomo en un rango de 21.03 y 26.99 ppm de Pb.Phytoremediation is a technology used to recover plants contaminated with organic or inorganic soils.
