The advances of Science have permitted the existence of a type of surgery which has acquired a huge development in the last years related with transsexualism, it means, for the case the organic sex and the psychic sex do not coincide, affecting the total behavior of the individual, enough to consider the therapeutics valid as a solution that will lead to the normality in the legal, sexual and social aspects the psychiatric treatment along with hormones have not obtained the offer of optimist perspectives, because its last is excessive (many years), without getting the wanted results, that is why the transsexual’s situation became more distressing. As it has been mentioned, through the surgical intervention for the sex change called devastating and reconstructive, the origin sexual organs are amputated and extracted putting together all the characteristics of the appearance artificially, as well as the hormonal treatment; and, despite of the esthetic perfection of this type of interventions, the capacity of procreation of the patient disappears once the realization of the surgery. Even the surgery exceed the disassociation between the biological configuration and the psychosocial profile, this contains only the morphologic adaptation of the extern sexual characters of the individual holding the sex sense wanted without changing the biological structure, the genetic and chromosomal composition of the person, which maintain unchangeable after the surgery. However, the final aspiration of a transsexual is to be recognized juridically in his or her new situation, about the genre, civil capacity getting the consequent registered change of sex and pre-name in The Civil Register.Los adelantos de la ciencia han permitido que exista un tipo de cirugía que ha adquirido gran desarrollo en los últimos tiempos, relacionada con el transexualismo, es decir, para el caso en que no coincida el sexo orgánico y el psíquico, afectando el comportamiento total del individuo, razón suficiente para que consideren valedera la terapéutica como solución que le llevará a la normalidad en el aspecto legal, sexual y social, por cuanto el tratamiento psiquiátrico acompañado de hormonas no ha logrado ofrecerle perspectivas optimistas, debido a que su duración es excesiva (varios años), sin que finalmente se consiga los resultados deseados, por lo que la situación del transexual se vuelve más angustiosa. Como ha sido mencionado, mediante la intervención quirúrgica para el cambio de género, llamada demoledora y reconstructiva, se amputa y extrae los órganos sexuales originarios, acoplándose los del signo externo artificialmente, acompañado del tratamiento hormonal; y, no obstante la perfección estética de este tipo de intervenciones, la capacidad de procreación del paciente desaparece una vez efectuada la intervención. Si bien con la cirugía se consigue superar la disociación entre su configuración biológica y su perfil psicosocial, ésta comporta sólo la adecuación morfológica de los caracteres sexuales externos del sujeto al sexo sentido, deseado, sin que se cambie la estructura biológica, la conformación genética y cromosómica del sujeto, las que se mantienen inalterables después de la operación. Sin embargo, la aspiración final del transexual es el que se le reconozca jurídicamente en su nuevo estado, en cuanto a su género, capacidad civil, logrando así el consiguiente cambio registral de sexo y pre-nombre en el Registro de Estado Civil
