La técnica de polimerización heterogénea en semicontinuo fue empleado para sintetizar nanopartículas de poliestirenomesoporosas. Las polimerizaciones se llevaron a cabo a condiciones de avidez de monómero en la cual el monómero fue continuamente alimentado al reactor que contenía una solución acuosa de tensioactivo e iniciador. Se ha estudiado los efectos del flujo de dosificación de mezcla orgánica y concentración del iniciador en el comportamiento cinético, los diámetros de partícula y poro y porosidad.
