The present article aims to present some aspects regarding of expert evidence in the Code of Civil and Peruvian Criminal Procedure Code.At the present, the administrator of justice often requi-res input that certain matters can offer a specialist on the subject, on any scientific or technical knowledge, to clarify the truth, through the expert, who through the application of science, trade or occupation, experience or the use of technical tests will determine the veracity of the material points of dispute about a particular event, expert evidence is a form of evidence where the judge finds its greatest degree of conviction.El presente artículo, tiene como finalidad dar a conoceralgunos aspectos en torno a la prueba pericial enel Código Procesal Civil y el Código Procesal Penalperuano.En la actualidad, el administrador de justicia requierefrecuentemente el aporte que en determinadas materiaspueda ofrecerle un especialista en el tema, sobrealgún conocimiento científico o técnico, para esclareceruna verdad, por intermedio del experto, quien através de las aplicaciones de la ciencia, arte u oficio, laexperiencia o el uso de pruebas técnicas, determinaránla veracidad sobre los puntos materia de controversiasobre un hecho determinado, La prueba pericial esun medio probatorio en donde el juez encuentra sumayor grado de convicción
