Biogas production is one of the most promising methods of producing renewable energy with the use and management of by-products of agriculture, industry and municipal waste in the anaerobic digestion process. Over the past decades, the biogas production technology has been focused on the development and optimization of systems characterized by a high rate of anaerobic digestion of energy crops, as well as solid agro-industrial wastes.
