This article presents the contrast between the concept of “banking” education and the concept of “problematizing” education proposed by Paulo Freire (1921-1997), focusing the analysis on the dialogic relationship between the educator and the student, space of communication that combines programmatic content with the context of learning, through reflection and action. Subject that constitutes one of the elements of Paulo Freire’s pedagogical system, called “knowledge in communion”, a component that conceives the teaching-learning process as a colloquium between the interlocutors, mediated by the world.
