I am fulfilling my psychology cooperative education internship within the therapy department at UnityPoint Clinic - Prairie Parkway. Weekly, I spend 3-6 hours observing occupational therapists (OTs) and/or volunteering. In my poster presentation, I will define what occupational therapy is, provide information about Prairie Parkway, describe my typical duties, and note what conditions are commonly present. Lastly, I will include how this experience relates to my future career goals. This internship has allowed me to visualize procedures and techniques utilized by OTs, which will benefit me as I begin my journey to obtaining my doctorate degree in occupational therapy
