Research on personality traits has grown in recent years, particularly looking into extraversion and introversion as it relates to workplace decisions. Most studies find that acting contrary to one's natural personality traits is minimally impactful to the individual, and can even be beneficial for the purpose of one's job. However, there is little research to show that the effects of this behavior beyond the duration of the act. This study analyzed the likelihood of burnout given one's level of introversion, and how strongly their workplace shows a preference for extraversion.
