Regenerative chatter is major issue in turning operations, which lowers the machining efficiency and parts quality. It is usually caused by the intense self-excited vibration between the cutting tool and the work piece. In this paper, we intend to visualize the tool-work system vibration during the three degrees of freedom cylindrical turning on CA6140 lathe machine. This was achieved by building up a dynamical model for the process with taking into consideration the dynamical properties of the cutting tool.
