The most common insects that are able to digest keratin are some Lepidoptera Tineidae as Tineola bisselliella (the common clothes moth), Tinea pellionella (the case-bearing clothes moth) and Trichophaga tapetzella (the tapestry moth), and Coleoptera Dermestidae belonging to genus Anthrenus and Attagenus. These species are present in textile industries and the damages are caused by larval stage.
