The purpose of this paper is to review causes and effects of employee turnover in healthcare. It also reviews ways to address some of the causes to help reduce turnover rates in organizations. Following a review on employee turnover, causes such as poor leadership, negative work culture and employee disengagement were identified. These elements result in employees leaving organizations and consequently affecting overall workplace morale, productivity, and expense.
