Objective: To determine the association between risk of falls as measured by the Timed Get Up and Go - modified version (TGUGM), age and educational level in active older women. Method: Quantitative association transversal study. The sample was 202 women whom, in addition to a clinical record of characterization, TGUGM was applied to assess the risk of falls. Associations were performed using the statistical test Chi Square and calculation of odds ratio (OR). Results: An increased risk of falls in women with a lower educational level (OR 1.25) and older age (OR 0.59) was observed.
