ENGLISH: The field of polymer nanocomposites encompasses an expansive range of materials. This originates on the one hand from the myriad and yet expanding list of synthetic and natural polymers exhibiting different lengths (i.e. molecular weight), morphologies (e.g., linear, branched, crosslinked) and possible additives (e.g., plasticizer). On the other hand, the nanoparticle filler for these polymers spans from small spherical quantum dots to fractal-like agglomerates to elongated rods and wires and even further to exfoliated platelets. All of these nanoparticle morphologies are available for an even vaster list of composition and size.
