Modern and Traditional Values of the Population of Russian Regions under the Conditions of Socio-Cultural Modernization

This article examines relationship of modern and traditional values of the population of Russian regions with the processes of modernization. Cultural value types of "Openness to change" and "Conservation" are described in the 16 regions of the country on the basis of secondary analysis of sociological research data. The correlation of change value attitudes and conservation value attitudes with the Russian regional innovation index and the level of population innovation activity is analyzed. It was found that change value attitudes are a significant factor of innovative processes development.Статья посвящена рассмотрению взаимосвязи современных и традиционных ценностей населения регионов России с модернизационными процессами. На основе вторичного анализа данных социологических исследований охарактеризованы культурные типы ценностей «Открытость изменениям» и «Сохранение» в 16 регионах страны. Проанализировано соотношение ценностных установок на изменение и сохранение с российскими региональными инновационными индексами и уровнем инновационной активности населения.
