Specific production of benthic diatoms was evaluated from the cell division rate, macrophytobenthos production — from the mass of dying off thallus parts. The data for Zostera marina L. cenoses in the Black Sea show that annual production of microphytobenthos is 3-12 times as high as that of macrophytobenthos.Удельная продукция бентических диатомовых была оценена по скорости клеточного деления, продукция макрофитобентоса - по массе отмирающих частей талломов.
